Scholarships

One of the credit union's more recent priorities is a focus on youth. North Winnipeg Credit Union offers two types of scholarships:

North Winnipeg Credit Union Scholarship

The North Winnipeg Credit Union Scholarships of $1000 each is awarded to two high school graduates pursuing a secondary education at a university, community college or trade school. Selection of Scholarship recipients is based on the combination of highest academic achievement and participation in Ukrainian community, as well as other extra-curricular activities they are involved.

Qualifications

  • Must be a member of North Winnipeg Credit Union at least since September 1, 2014
  • Must be graduating from high school in June 2015
  • Must provide copy of a completed registration form or acceptance letter from the university or community college for the fall of 2015

Andrij and Iwanna Kachor Scholarship

The Andrij and Iwanna Kachor Scholarship designed to encourage academic excellence in the pursuit of Ukrainian studies at the high school level in a Saturday Ukrainian School Program. NWCU awards two such scholarships of $250 each to a graduating student with the highest academic record at Ukrainian Reading Association "Prosvita" School and Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral School.
